Motor Bracket Selection Guide and Recommended Selection Steps

  1. Fully understand the load capacity, rigidity requirements, end dimensions, and overall assembly characteristics of the ball screw, trapezoidal screw, or ball spline, as well as the brand and model of the motor to be selected.

  2. Based on the motor brand and model, determine the motor flange mounting dimensions and confirm the motor bracket motor mounting side specifications. For example, for Panasonic 200W/400W motors, the motor base fixed-end model is M60DP; for Panasonic 750W motors, the model is M80EP.

  3. According to the screw shaft end dimensions, specify the motor bracket screw-end specification. For example, if the screw shaft diameter is φ15, select -FK15, or -BK15-C, -EK15-C, AK15-C, etc.

  4. Choose the exact motor bracket model according to the center height in the assembly relationship. For Panasonic 200W/400W motors with φ15 screw shaft diameter and 30mm center height, the motor base model is M60DP-EK15-C. If the center height is 28mm, the model would be M60DP-BK15-C or M60DP-FK15-A. If using an integrated bearing block type, choose M60DP-BK15-C; if using a split type, combine motor brakcet M60DP-FA15-A with support unit FK15.

  5. Evaluate whether the motor bracket’s load capacity meets the axial load requirements of the screw shaft. The motor bracket’s axial load capacity corresponds to the allowable axial load of the support unit of the same model.
    For example, for a Panasonic 1kW motor with φ30 screw shaft diameter, 51mm assembly center height, and 1700 kgf axial load, the motor bracket model can be M130G-SBK30-C. For a Panasonic 1.5kW motor with φ30 screw shaft diameter, 51mm center height, and 2700 kgf axial load, the model can be M130G-SBK30D-C.

  6. Check for interference between the motor shaft extension and the screw shaft end based on their lengths. If interference occurs, add a flange adapter plate or shorten the screw shaft end. Note that Schneider motors have relatively long shafts, which engineers should consider during selection.

  7. For motor bases used in airport equipment for gold jewelry, it is recommended to use H-type motor bases with additional protective covers; for KK modules, directly select KK-type motor brackets.
